Ink Service Tech - 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Ink Service Tech
• Pay Rate Range: $22.89-$37.13/hr
• Location: Oakdale, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Prepares any and all necessary job tools including, job packets, plates, dies, inks, etc. for upcoming work.
• Assists with make-readies.
• Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reels.
• Maintains proper storage of plates.
• Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted, and ready to be spliced.
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• It is the responsibility of all employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance and support to the production team during makeready.
• Makeready team members will be involved in equipment preparation, plate mounting, ink mixing, and makeready activities in the production areas of the facilities.
• The purpose of this team is to provide assistance supplies and services to all production equipment (MP, etc.) in order to reduce makeready and increase manufacturing efficiencies.
• Team member must work in a team environment with minimum supervision, cooperate and work with others, share information and take the initiative to improve the makeready process and solve problems.
