Are you a dedicated leader with a passion for delivering exceptional service? Awanui Group is seeking a National Team Leader for a 12-month fixed term period. The Nation Team leader will oversee and inspire our new Fond Farewell offering across multiple locations. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to manage our cremation and aquamation services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and outstanding customer care.
Fond Farewells is a dedicated pet cremation service, committed to providing compassionate, dignified care for companion animals and their families. Operating across Aotearoa New Zealand, we work in partnership with veterinary clinics to deliver a seamless, respectful aftercare experience that honours the bond between pets and their people. As the National Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with various internal departments, including the Laboratory Manager, Product Manager, and Marketing team, to drive improvements and maintain high standards across all Fond Farewells locations.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Appropriate experience and qualifications in operations or team leadership
- Multi-site management experience or a proven track record leading remote teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
- A full, clean NZ Driver’s License with the willingness to travel between locations
- Flexibility in working hours, including availability for weekends
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold company values
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of cremation and aquamation services across all locations, ensuring quality standards are met
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to manage departmental budgets and efficiency
- Deliver professional customer service and promptly address client inquiries and concerns
- Train and develop staff to maintain operational excellence, facilitating their professional growth
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across all Fond Farewells locations
