About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Field Agronomy & Application Technician to join our team. This role focuses on applying crop protection products and fertilizers, maintaining equipment, and supporting branch operations. The ideal candidate enjoys a mix of field and shop work, takes pride in safety, and values accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply crop protection products, dry, and liquid fertilizers according to agricultural standards
- Maintain and service fertilizer spreaders and application equipment
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate and maintain trucks and field equipment
- Follow HAZMAT safety procedures and USDOT/FMCSR standards
- Report operational, customer, vendor, or equipment issues to the Branch Manager
- Support multiple branch locations as needed
- Maintain office, shop, and grounds in clean and safe condition
- Assist walk-in customers and answer phone inquiries
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Agriculture or farming experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Welding experience a plus
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission
- Experience operating forklifts, skid loaders, and wheel loader
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Applicator’s License
- Ability to lift 60 lbs and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and reaching
- Ability to read fine print and use a keyboard
- Clear hearing for phone communications
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and chemical
- Occasional work at heights and in extreme weather conditions
