Duties
- Assist customers with their purchases, answer questions, and provide product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including processing sales and returns.
- Manage merchandising tasks such as stock replenishment, product displays, and maintaining an attractive store layout.
- Handle phone communications efficiently, addressing customer inquiries and providing information about products or store policies.
- Maintain organized store shelves and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the sales area.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit card transactions, and receipts with accuracy.
- Support the team in maintaining a welcoming environment for all shoppers.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage merchandise and maintain store presentation.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Ability to operate POS systems and cash registers efficiently.
- Retail sales experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for stocking and merchandising tasks.
- Must be over the age of 18 and able to work Saturdays consistently.
