Job Overview
Concrete Finishers smooth, level, place, and finish freshly poured concrete for floors, slabs, walls, tilt-wall panels, elevated slabs, foundations, curbs, sidewalks, loading docks, parking structures, and other cast-in-place concrete surfaces according to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Use hand and power tools, including floats, trowels, screeds, edgers, and related concrete-finishing equipment, to spread, level, consolidate, smooth, and finish concrete to the required grade and surface specification.
- Prepare areas for concrete placement.
- Assist with pouring and placing concrete.
- Check, position, align, and adjust concrete forms as necessary to establish the required pitch, depth, dimensions, and finished surface.
- Perform concrete finishing following placement.
- May set or adjust forms used in connection with concrete placement and finishing, including forms for slabs, curbs, sidewalks, foundations, walls, columns, decks, parking structures, and other cast-in-place concrete work.
- Perform form-related duties as part of the concrete placement and finishing process.
Requirements
- Three (3) months of construction or related experience.
- Must have a valid U.S. work permit (EAD, Green Card, Citizenship, etc.)
NOTE: Housing will not be provided; however, assistance in finding housing will be offered.
Pay: $23.43 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
