What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Technician position at AW Collision?
AW Collision is seeking an experienced bodyman to join our team! If you're a dependable, detail-oriented individual with collision repair experience, we want you to be part of our team! This position requires someone who can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the quality and safety of every repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble parts on vehicles
- Identify and perform all necessary repairs to avoid supplements and minimize repair time
- Conduct moderate to heavy body repairs as needed
- Perform body, frame, structural, and mechanical repairs in accordance with industry standards
- Repair and/or replace collision-damaged vehicle parts following accepted procedures
- Inspect and test-drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have prior collision repair experience
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, estimates, and work orders
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Must be able to stand for long periods during vehicle repairs
- Must be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl frequently
- Must be capable of using hands efficiently to handle vehicle parts
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
