Role Description The A&P Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Riverside, CA. This role is responsible for delivering classroom and hands-on instruction for Airframe & Powerplant exam preparation, including Oral & Practical training and project-based learning. The instructor designs lesson plans and training materials aligned with FAA standards, evaluates learner performance, and provides constructive feedback to support exam readiness. Day-to-day activities include demonstrating maintenance procedures, guiding learners through practical tasks, maintaining training equipment and labs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in all instructional activities. The role also involves collaborating with other instructors and staff to continuously improve course content and learner outcomes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in aircraft airframe and powerplant systems, with strong practical maintenance experience.
- Strong instructional, coaching, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Solid knowledge of FAA regulations, certification requirements, and A&P exam content, including Oral & Practical standards.
- Effective classroom management, learner assessment, and feedback skills, with attention to safety and professional conduct.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfort using computerized testing and training tools.
- Valid FAA A&P certificate required; Inspection Authorization (IA) and prior teaching or training experience are highly beneficial.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Las Vegas, NV, including occasional evenings or weekends as course schedules require.
