Job Summary

AVT Simulation is seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Engineer at AVT Simulation, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and contributing to the development of state-of-the-art simulation solutions.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Supports the design and development of customer-specific products with consideration to achieving manufacturability, quality, safety and cost goals. Tasks include:
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality in the manufacturing process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and testing, to streamline the manufacturing process and address any issues that may arise.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement changes to enhance overall performance.
  • Material Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the availability of materials and components required for manufacturing.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address manufacturing challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to meet project deadlines.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel to ensure proper execution of established processes and procedures.
  • Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance AVT Simulation's manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a technology-intensive or simulation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and experience working with manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be comfortable operating an array of small and large tools, and willing to learn how to use tools in safe manner.
