Avow Treasures is a boutique resale store offering gently used furniture, clothing, home décor, jewelry, artwork and housewares. All proceeds benefit the Avow Foundation which supports the only non-profit Hospice and Palliative Care program in Collier County.
Job Summary:
The Treasures Truck Driver/Store Helper will be responsible for receiving donations and processing merchandise through the intake area in addition to making furniture pickups in the Treasures truck. Ensure all sellable goods meet Treasures quality standards. Sort, clean and take furniture to the sales floor as directed. Cross train in other areas to ensure shift coverage if necessary. Additional duties will include store maintenance and cleaning on a daily basis. All staff must be able to work assigned shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 6pm Monday through Saturday.
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively communicate with donors who drop off donations and process in-kind donation receipts.
- Using the Treasures truck, drive to donors homes to pick up donated goods. Responsible for loading these goods into the truck and delivering to the Treasures store.
- Maintain the Treasures truck in good working order.
- Perform monthly safety inspections on the Treasures truck.
- Efficiently sort, clean, and prep items for sale under guidelines provided.
- Keep the processing area clean and organized.
- All employees will be trained to operate the point of sale (POS) system.
- Assist in merchandising items throughout the store under the guidance and training from the store manager and assistant manager.
- Create a friendly environment and respond courteously to all customers.
- Respond to critical incidents such as fire, robbery, shoplifting, personnel or volunteer injury reports, and natural disasters according to company policy.
- Assist with special projects for Avow as needed.
- Participate in monthly team meetings with a positive attitude.
- Performs other duties assigned.

Computer Skills:
Computer skills to include general knowledge of e-mail/Outlook as a means of communication with store management.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current, valid driver’s license. Valid auto insurance. CDL NOT REQUIRED.
Language Skills:
Communication skills of reading, writing and speaking in English.
Math Skills:
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages/fractions.
Other Qualifications:
Previous thrift store experience is preferred. Candidates should also be familiar with the greater Naples area. Previous experience driving a box truck.
