Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Oversee fundraising initiatives to support program development and operational needs.
- Lead strategic planning efforts to align organizational goals with educational best practices.
- Provide senior leadership fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Supervise staff, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards while promoting a safe learning environment.
- Engage with students, parents, and the community through public speaking engagements and outreach programs.
- Utilize classroom experience to inform decision-making and improve instructional practices across the organization.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development, education administration or a related field.
- Current EEC PQ Registry *Director
- Participation in professional development workshops and ongoing training as mandated by state or accrediting agencies
Professional Experience
- Several years of classroom experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff or managing teams effectively.
- Exceptional public speaking skills with experience engaging various stakeholders including students, parents, and community members.
- A passion for education with hands-on teaching experience that informs leadership decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels while maintaining a clear vision for the organization’s future.
- CPR and first aid certification
- Successful completion of criminal background checks and child abuse clearances
Skills
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and best practices for early childhood learning.
- Ability to design, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curricula and enrichment activities.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding childcare, safety and health standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills for managing staff, communicating with families and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to handle changing situations and diverse needs in a dynamic environment
