Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load and unload materials efficiently.
- Manage order picking processes using pickers and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements accurately.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols.
- Handle materials with precision during shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper storage and documentation.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods using appropriate equipment such as clamp trucks and forklifts.
- Assist in construction-related tasks when necessary, applying mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, organized yard environment by performing regular inspections and safety checks on all equipment and work areas.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse distribution experience with a solid understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Valid certifications for forklift operation, crane operation, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, heavy equipment operation, and RF scanners preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or management is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
