Quality Auditor

Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous person who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

• Conduct internal quality audits to verify that Avo’s Quality Management System (QMS) and its procedures are adequately established, implemented, and compliant with ISO9001, ISO13485, and customer requirements
• Perform supplier audits, both remote and onsite, to evaluate supplier processes and compliance with requirements
• Prepare audit reports with detailed observations; clearly define audit results and findings.
• Prepare Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports, for both internal audits and supplier audits, to address audit findings. Schedule and chair subsequent team meetings, support root cause analysis and action planning
• Support QMS processes by assisting with internal and external documentation changes, maintaining training records, verifying document accuracy, and performing quality checks in production and material handling areas

Requirements:

• Professional certification in Quality Auditing such as ASQ Certification Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Exemplar Global, or equivalent training
• 3 years experience in internal or supplier auditing in accordance with ISO19011 Guidelines for auditing management systems
• 5 years quality systems experience in an ISO9001, ISO13485, or similar accredited organization
• High attention to detail, able to resolve conflicts, and willing to take initiative
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
