We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for mental health to join our multidisciplinary team.

Position Summary

The LPN plays a vital role in supporting our clients’ mental and emotional well-being. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, the LPN provides direct patient care, assists with psychiatric treatment plans, and ensures a safe, therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and emotional support to clients in a behavioral health setting.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Observe, document, and report changes in patients’ mental and physical status.
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as part of the care team.
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about medications, coping skills, and treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Answer and return patient calls, meeting needs when able, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Assist with medication prior authorizations as needed (experience beneficial).
  • Perform or assist with basic phlebotomy procedures (experience a bonus).

Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of [State].
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
  • Prior experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment preferred.
  • Medication prior authorization experience beneficial.
  • Phlebotomy experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in challenging situations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
