About the Role


The Electrical Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the electrical production operations by managing supervisors, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining quality and safety standards. This role facilitates communication between production, project management, engineering, and purchasing while ensuring the latest revision drawings are used. Additionally, the Electrical Production Manager plays a key role in addressing disciplinary actions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a clean and organized shop floor.



Responsibilities


  • Monitor and report missing materials to Project Management and Purchasing at least three days in advance.
  • Manage all electrical supervisors within the assigned building to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as a communication bridge between production, project management, engineering, and purchasing to facilitate seamless workflow.
  • Assist in locating the latest revision drawings and ensure adherence to revision control rules.
  • Ensure production follows AVL QA standards and AVL customer quality requirements.
  • Identify and address gaps in shop floor organization and cleanliness to maintain an efficient workspace.
  • Stay informed about shop floor attendance and workforce availability.
  • Report daily progress updates to department heads and senior management.
  • Participate in disciplinary actions against employees displaying improper behavior, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Provide technical expertise on the floor and support troubleshooting efforts as needed.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.



Qualifications


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and production processes.
  • Experience working with QA standards and customer quality requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate schedules, and ensure production efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using production planning tools, quality control systems, and reporting software.
  • Experience enforcing workplace safety regulations and fostering a safe work environment.



Required Skills
