Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of athletic facilities, Campus Student Community Centers, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols and handling procedures
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and floor care machines to maintain polished and sanitized surfaces
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring proper waste disposal
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or chemical exposure during cleaning activities
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices highly valued
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums is advantageous
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to facility maintenance guidelines
