Job Summary
Under the supervision of the LYU-DIC Coordinator, the LYU Lead provides onsite supervision and support to participants and staff utilizing a harm reduction and trauma informed approach. The LYU Lead will also oversee the safety and security of the facility.
The LYU Lead is an energetic self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to co-workers, donors, volunteers, and county representatives. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks. The individual in this position must be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, provide timely responses to requests and deadlines and works well under pressure.

Essential Functions
- Conduct new participant intakes, including data entry, belongings inspection, and orientation to LYU rules.
- Ensure that required monthly reports are completed by staff.
- In conjunction with the Program Coordinator, complete a monthly activity calendar.
- Monitor and maintain the resource board.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and supplies needed.
- Perform regular facility inspections for cleanliness and to identify any repairs needed.
- Maintain safety and security throughout the facility.
- Provide administrative support (e.g., answering phones, greeting visitors and volunteers, monthly calendar).
- Check in with participants to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Address participant and neighbor complaints promptly and professionally.
- Offer basic case management, including help with benefits, IDs, employment, and healthcare connections.
- Coordinate care with external agencies to support participants’ health and housing stability.
- Assist Program Coordinator with hiring, training, and supporting staff; fill scheduling gaps as needed.
- Serve as on-call support during crises.
- Participate in and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend meetings as needed or in the Program Coordinator’s absence.
- Supervise LYU staff when Program Coordinator is not present.
- Promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as a trauma-informed workplace.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Program Coordinator
- Facilitate debriefs with participants to address conflicts and support resolution of choice agreements, fostering accountability and growth
