The Meat Trimmer is responsible for trimming, cutting, and preparing meat products in accordance with company and client specifications. Duties include inspecting cuts for quality, removing excess fat or bone, portioning, weighing, and packaging meat in compliance with established standards. The role also requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines, and ensuring that all products comply with food safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include assisting with loading and unloading shipments, supporting production goals, and accurately labeling finished products.
This position reports to the Head of Production and plays a key role in ensuring Product Safety, Quality, Employee Safety, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills): QUALIFICATIONS: •High school diploma or GED. We will definitely consider your experience. •3-5 years of experience in a food warehouse or meat plant. •Competent knowledge of the procedure and policy of the production area •You must be a person who works well as a team. •Ability to work with all levels of personnel in the company. •You should be able to work comfortably in a cold, humid environment with temperatures of 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
