What You’ll Do
- Assist with food preparation (washing, chopping, assembling ingredients)
- Support meal service in dining rooms and resident areas
- Learn food safety and sanitation standards
- Help with kitchen organization, cleaning, and stocking
- Observe menu planning and dietary accommodations
- Work alongside experienced culinary professionals
- Culinary fundamentals in a professional kitchen
- Food safety and ServSafe principles
- Nutrition and special diets in senior care
- Teamwork, communication, and workplace professionalism
- Career pathways in culinary arts and healthcare hospitality
- High school juniors or seniors (preferred)
- Students interested in culinary arts, hospitality, or healthcare
- Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
- Able to follow directions and work in a team environment
Qualifications
Program Details
- Part-time internship (flexible schedule around school, 10-20 hours)
- Fall & Spring Semester
- 3 locations within the Mesa area (Downtown Mesa, Southeast Mesa, and Apache Junction).
