We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Car Prep / Vehicle Service Agent to join our Avis Budget team in Abilene.
This position is responsible for preparing rental vehicles so they are clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for our customers. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Clean and vacuum vehicle interiors
- Clean windows, dashboards, consoles, cup holders, and door panels
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and obvious damage
- Remove trash and personal items left behind
- Check fuel levels and prepare vehicles for rental
- Wash and clean vehicle exteriors as needed
- Move and organize vehicles around the rental facility
- Help maintain a clean and organized vehicle-prep area
- Report vehicle damage, warning lights, or maintenance concerns to management
- Assist the rental team with fleet preparation during busy periods
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and punctual — attendance is extremely important
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently without constant supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors and in changing Texas weather conditions
- Able to get in and out of vehicles repeatedly throughout a shift
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to work weekends
- Previous detailing, car wash, rental car, or automotive experience is helpful but not required
Schedule
Part-Time Weekend Position
Saturday and Sunday availability required. Additional hours may occasionally be available based on business needs.
