Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN or LVN license in the state of Texas and eligibility to practice in a skilled nursing or similar care setting.
- Clinical expertise in adult and geriatric care, including assessment, care planning, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in condition.
- Leadership and supervisory abilities, including experience assigning tasks, providing guidance, and supporting performance for nursing and support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Proficiency in documentation and use of electronic health records, with attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, timely charting.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards applicable to long-term care or similar environments.
- Ability to work independently on night shifts, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar settings is preferred; BLS/CPR certification required, ACLS or other advanced certifications are a plus.
