AVIR Health Group is looking for a qualified Certified Activity Director to join our family!
We are searching for an Activity Director that is resident, and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and our established policies and procedures.

Must be a certified Activity Director for LTC/SNF.

Major Responsibilities:
Ensure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Recruit and hire a sufficient number of qualified recreation staff to deliver appropriate resident care.
Assist in developing a budget for recreation services and ensure adherence to established budget.
Organize and maintain both the daily and monthly schedule of activities. Inform and assist residents regarding activities.
Arrange for recreational activities outside the facility, as needed.
Develop and supervise active volunteer support.
Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
Develop resident’s council/grievance committee.
Qualifications:
Activity Director Certification preferred
Previous nursing home experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
