Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Temporary Activities Assistant to join our activities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities for our residents, including social events, recreation programs, and therapeutic activities. This is a full-time position, and we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a variety of activities, including social events, recreation programs, and therapeutic activities.
- Work closely with residents to understand their interests and preferences and incorporate them into activity plans.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as dietary and recreational services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement
- Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and resident participation
- Assist with special events and resident programs, such as holiday celebrations and entertainment events
- Develop and maintain relationships with community professionals and organizations to enrich our activity programs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work with seniors and assist with cognitive and physical impairments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Understanding that this is a temporary position.
