Position Overview
As a Principal Manager at Avior Tax & Accounting, you are an experienced leader and strategic advisor who guides both clients and teams toward success. Your impact is defined by a blend of deep technical mastery, strategic judgment, and effective execution—all in service of our people and clients.
Your leadership connects the details of tax strategy with the larger purpose of financial well-being, helping our individual and business clients make confident decisions that align with their goals and values. You lead with influence—developing professionals, strengthening collaboration across offices, and ensuring operational excellence in every engagement.
You work closely with Avior’s wealth and accounting professionals to deliver integrated, forward-thinking solutions that help clients plan with intention and live with purpose.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review tax engagements for individuals, businesses, and trusts with accuracy and insight.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients—anticipating needs, identifying opportunities, and delivering proactive planning.
- Collaborate across tax, accounting, and wealth teams to provide holistic client solutions.
- Collaborate with the office lead and between tax offices to identify opportunities and implement effective change across the company.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve professional and personal growth.
- Identify and drive business development opportunities, cultivating new client relationships through referrals, networking, and community engagement.
- Contribute to the culture and success of One Avior through participation in leadership initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Reallocate work among teams and manage capacity to balance workloads and deadlines.
- Provide clarity, professionalism, and care as you address internal and external challenges.
- Stay current on tax laws, GAAP, and emerging planning opportunities through continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA or EA certification required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
- 10 years of progressive public accounting experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced expertise in individual and passthrough entity taxation and planning.
- Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, federal, and multi-state tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to translate complex issues into client clarity.
- Proven experience managing projects, client relationships, and mentoring team members.
- Prefer proficiency with CCH Axcess, Engagement, and related tax software.
