What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analyst position at Avion Solutions, Inc.?

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Analyst to support the Systems Readiness Directorate. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Prepare annual budget spreadsheets for Army programs.
Monitor authorized amounts and balances for each program to ensure ample funding is available.
Analyze past and current expenditure patterns to predict future needs.
Monitor obligations and expenditures to prevent overspending.
Present detailed financial reports to the division chief bi-weekly.
Database management, including the creation of queries, reports, and statistical analyses periodically.
Maintain travel logs and verify the availability of travel funds.
Create and/or assign tasks in accordance with division protocol. Tracking and reporting overdue tasks.
Assist management with budget exercises and attend budget meetings when requested.
Ensure that tasks are assigned to the proper team and that the fund cite is appropriate.
Assist in the development of Customer and Contractor processes.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to Army Aviation to provide statistical analysis.
Support the development and implementation of reports, plans, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal team members, contractors, and external agencies.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

BS/BA with nine (9) years of related experience or High School Diploma and 13 years’ experience.
Ability to communicate financial information orally and in writing.
Efficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Proficient in TTS (task tracking system) database operation, including creating, analyzing, and assigning tasks.
Knowledge of the DEVCOM Integrated Center Information System.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
