Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for an E3 Engineer to support the Mission Equipment Division. This position is based in Huntsville, AL, at Redstone Arsenal.

- Review and develop system design requirements as necessary.
- Review Hardware and System design documentation.
- Write, review, and/or make inputs to Statement of Works (SOWs), Design Specifications, and User Manuals.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
- Review E3-related issues in Safety documentation, such as System Safety Assessment Reports, System Safety Hazard Analysis (SSRA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Provide test witnessing.
- Review Hardware, systems test plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
- Review Airworthiness documentation such as Airworthiness Qualification Plan (AQP), Airworthiness Qualification Specification (AQS), Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC), Software Accomplishment Summary (SAS), and Airworthiness Release (AWR).
- Support the Government in the development of Guidance, Processes, Practices, and Requirements for Navigation and Airworthiness Qualification.
- Review and research new Source Approvals for hardware and systems.
- Review Modification Work Orders and other aircraft integration documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS/20 years, MS/15 years, or PhD/14 years in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Recent aerospace experience in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects in Army aviation systems.
- Experience and knowledge of ADS-37A-PRF, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-464.
- Experience in requirements definition, Acceptance and Qualification test plan, procedure, and report development/review, and airworthiness.
- Experience and knowledge with ADS-51-HDBK Aeronautical Design Standard Handbook, Rotorcraft and Aircraft Qualification (RAQ) Handbook.
- Experience and knowledge with Army airworthiness process regulations AR 70-62 and AMCOM 385-17.
- Experience and knowledge with DOD Data Item Descriptions (DiD).
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
