We are seeking an experienced Data Center Network Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team supporting a large-scale data center environment in Rockdale, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco Nexus, Arista, and enterprise data center networking, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale, high-availability data center network infrastructures.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco Nexus and Arista switching platforms.
- Manage and support Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing, and switching technologies.
- Ensure seamless connectivity across servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and operations teams.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Independently manage day-to-day operational activities with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
- 5 years of Data Center Networking experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches.
- Strong experience with Arista networking solutions.
- Solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- STP, VPC, VXLAN (preferred)
- Network troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week in Rockdale, TX.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Certification.
- Experience in enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.
- Knowledge of automation or scripting is a plus.
