They have experience closing on over $1.2 Billion in minerals. Today, we are actively acquiring minerals in the Permian Basin.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Energy Acquisitions Analyst to support our mineral acquisition efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience in the energy and natural resources sector, focusing on evaluating, negotiating, and acquiring oil & gas mineral rights and royalties. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable communicating with landowners and industry professionals. This is a paid hourly position that comes with commission as a bonus. We are looking for a Fall Intern for 15-20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching ownership records, title documents, and courthouse filings to identify mineral and royalty owners.
- Support mineral acquisitions by contacting and building relationships with landowners.
- Participate in calls, mailings, and outreach to prospective sellers.
- Learn to evaluate mineral and royalty properties using provided data, mapping tools, and market information.
- Track and update acquisition opportunities in internal databases.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing acquisition activity and market trends.
- Provide general administrative and project support to the team.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Energy, Finance, Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional phone manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and learn valuation methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with mapping or land software is a plus.
- Interest in energy, natural resources, and land acquisition.
