Construction Foreman (Agriculture/Irrigation)
The Construction Foreman under the direction and supervision from their Superintendent will ensure the quick turnaround of their job by grouping tasks, and coordinating all field activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise work crews by assigning and coordinating job activities, monitoring crew activity to ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
- Arranges for delivery of material and equipment to job sites and giving directions to field crews.
- Streamlines work processes by scheduling similar projects to decrease turnaround time, grouping work tasks, and coordinating the daily use of equipment.
- Read blueprints by using proficient writing, reading and general math skills.
- Assist in projecting needs for equipment, materials and supplies. Determines, calculates and secures the appropriate materials and supplies for a specific project.
- Keeps accurate records of time records for the crew members.
- Lays out daily work schedules and assigns tasks to appropriate individuals and coordinates the completion of the same. Improves work methods to accomplish assigned work.
- Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties; adjusts errors and complaints. Maintains harmony among workers and may deal with grievances.
- Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans; coordinates department activities with other departments and agencies as needed.
- Assures that tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in proper working condition.
- Have knowledge on safety procedures and follow the safety measures while on the job.
- Be able to work with field operations staff and effectively communicate with the proper office staff members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree
- Good background/understanding of agriculture and/or crops is preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
