Success in this role requires a background in audio, video, and control systems, along with a solid understanding of computers and networks. Key attributes include attention to detail, punctuality, good communication skills, and proficiency in maintaining audiovisual systems.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred4 years of experience in technical or onsite support within the AV/IT industryAVIXA CTS certification (must be obtained within one year)Proficient in using Windows and Apple softwareStrong computer networking skillsIntermediate proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, testing, and adjusting integrated Audiovisual (AV)/Information Technology (IT) systemsProficient in using software, hand tools, and test equipment of the Audiovisual (AV)/Information Technology (IT) tradesExcellent communication, customer service, and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and attention to detailFlexible work hours, including potential weekend commitmentsResponsibilities Provide client support for meetings and conferences, including setup, operation, and tear-down of AV equipmentCoordinate AV resources for client meetings and conferences, including planning for large events and accommodating last-minute requestsPerform diagnostic troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and repairing all AV equipment, including video conference and audio DSPs, video walls, and projection;Providing preventative maintenance care to clients ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently;Diagnose and resolve control system issues with remote supportProvide preventive maintenanceReview open tickets and customer support history with applicable staffOffer technical guidance to team membersTimely and accurate maintenance of support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts listsEnsuring all safety standards required by OSHA are implemented;Accurately and promptly complete support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists.Mentor team members to foster ongoing professional development within the organization.
