Position Overview
The Senior IT Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing, designing, and delivering technology solutions that align with organizational goals and business needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in business process analysis, application integration, and IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and refine detailed business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Evaluate current processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and integration.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications, user stories, and technical documentation for development teams.
- Lead initiatives involving system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and data exchange across platforms and external partners.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, and performance.
- Facilitate solution design sessions with cross-functional teams to evaluate technical and operational impacts.
- Create business process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system maps for both current and future states.
- Support vendor selection processes, including RFP development, evaluations, and implementation planning.
- Contribute to QA/UAT processes by developing test cases, validating outcomes, and ensuring end-to-end functionality.
- Monitor solution performance post-implementation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior analysts and help define business analysis standards, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst with a focus on enterprise systems and integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- In-depth understanding of system interoperability, API integrations, and middleware technologies.
- Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and security principles.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or TOGAF.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, or SAP.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps methodologies.
