Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for chemical handling and sanitation.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and care for different flooring surfaces to maintain pristine conditions.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques.
- Restock supplies including towels, toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure rooms are fully prepared for guests.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, ensuring safety protocols are maintained during all cleaning activities.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, incident reports, and sanitation logs to support hotel housekeeping management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, demonstrating strong janitorial or hospitality skills.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, cleaning equipment operation, and chemical agent handling for effective sanitation.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience is a plus but not mandatory.
