We are looking for a dependable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team! The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the property safe, clean, and in excellent working condition while helping provide a comfortable experience for our guests.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and hotel equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
- Perform minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, and other approved components.
- Repair or touch up drywall, paint walls, doors, trim, and other surfaces as needed.
- Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and report issues requiring specialized service.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and housekeeping work orders.
- Maintain hotel grounds, entrances, parking areas, and outdoor spaces as needed.
- Keep maintenance rooms, tools, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Assist with furniture repairs, room inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or equipment concerns.
- Assist with additional property duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional work environment.
- Previous maintenance, construction, or repair experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, painting, drywall, and general repairs is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining the appearance and functionality of the property.
- Must be able to safely perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various areas of the property, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Schedule & Availability
- Part-time or full-time opportunities may be available based on hotel needs.
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, or occasional adjustments to address urgent maintenance issues.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
