Your Role:
The Research Associate will be responsible for support of the development, characterization, scale-up, and tech transfer of downstream processes to enable advancement of our client's processes into GMP production. In addition, the Research Associate supports maintenance of laboratory equipment and laboratories and may support new technology evaluations that improve our ability to develop, scale-up and execute production processes.
- Perform purification experiments at the bench and pilot scale spanning early to late phase development. The Research Associate will apply platform approaches or follow guidance from supervisors on experimental strategies and utilize problem solving skills to tackle day-to-day experimental challenges. Support communication of experimental progress and results including data analysis with management internally and externally to clients if needed.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot purification equipment such as chromatography systems, filtration skids, pH and conductivity meters and other general lab equipment. The Research Associate will also support general laboratory maintenance and operations tasks.
- Support 5S, operational excellence and best practice initiative in downstream process development and the overall process development team.
- Demonstrate the desire to expand and develop skills in downstream development and adjacent fields to further support the process development team.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree and 1 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
- Ability to maintain recordkeeping systems
- Ability to calculate molarity and normality
- Understanding of ion exchange, affinity interaction, size exclusion, and hydrophobic interaction chromatography
- Chemical or biological lab experience is highly desired.

Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, equity grants, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $65,600 to $87,500 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
