Job Summary

The Operations Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for ground handling staff to ensure compliance with company policies, airline requirements, and international aviation regulations. This role focuses on enhancing employee knowledge, operational efficiency, and safety standards. This position requires schedule flexibility due to the 24/7 operational rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct employee orientation sessions to introduce new hires to company policies, culture, and expectations.
  • Conduct classroom and on-the-job training sessions for ground handling staff, including baggage handling, aircraft servicing, safety procedures, and compliance protocols.
  • Ensure training materials comply with IATA, ICAO, and local aviation regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, performance reviews, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certification logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Submitting completed OJT Checklists for all agents in training.
  • Coordinate with airline partners and internal departments to align training with operational needs and customer service expectations.

  • Provide refresher training and continuous learning opportunities to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and performance gaps within the organization.
  • Deliver training reports and observations about training findings and trainees to the designated manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, training & development, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ground handling operations or aviation training.
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations, airline procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training software/tools.

  • Knowledge of airline ground operations and customer service standards preffered.
  • Experience in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to analyze training data and improve program effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
  • Must pass background checks and airport security clearance requirements.
  • Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
