SUMMARY: Service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Locate and mark dimensions, layout patterns, and templates, fabricate parts, repair or replace heavy structure aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering authorizations, structural repair manuals, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification
  • Provide accurate documentation on customer paperwork per FAA requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
  • Follow safety program including hazmat tool control and foreign object damage (FOD)
  • Conduct operational tests.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have had at least four years of practical experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in aircraft heavy structure maintenance.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred

Physical Effort And Dexterity

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders and aircraft stairs to access systems.
  • Flexibility to sit, stand, kneel, or crouch as needed during tasks.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $23.50 – $37.00 hourly/DOE, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
