Full-Time Work Schedule
- Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
This position is responsible for updating and maintaining media, including books, magazines, newspapers, and websites (including LIRN), equipment, and assisting students with locating and using the media resources.
Key Duties
- Maintain the Media Resource Center in an organized, quiet, professional, and clean, manner with sufficient supplies.
- Conduct new student library orientation to all students including orientation to LIRN and all other library resources. Document completed orientation for each student as an activity in Campus Vue.
- Oversee the checkout/check‐in system of resources for students and instructors.
- Maintain and record inventory of all resources and equipment.
- Maintain and disseminate program specific media inventories that are evaluated and updated quarterly, to include library media and instructional media available to faculty only.
- Oversee the Media Resource Center rules including but not limited to: proper usage of computers, no cellular phone use, professional behavior and language, as well as no food or drink.
- Keep the Resource Center clean and orderly at all times.
- Assist students (and staff when needed) with locating and using the proper resources.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Campus Director of Education, Assistant Campus Director, or Campus Executive Director.
