Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Staffing Coordinator and Central Supply to join our team! As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for completing schedules, interacting with employees to cover daily staffing requirements, and preparing daily nursing hours reports. As a Central Supply, you will be responsible for receiving and following instructions from your supervisor, ensuring all purchase orders are properly prepared, and assisting in preparing correspondence and claims.
Responsibilities:
Staffing Coordinator:
- Completes schedules for the Nursing Staff
- Completes daily staffing sheets
- Interacts with employees to cover daily staffing requirements
- Secures coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, as dictated by Director of Nursing
- Prepares and completes daily nursing hours report for Executive Director/LNHA
- Calculate nursing hours daily to meet PPD requirements and maintains a log of the daily PPD and month to date PPD
- Communicates with admissions on a daily basis for census and admission/discharge status of patients
- Reviews daily punch detail report on each employee, verifies hours worked, corrects any errors, and identifies trends
- Provides innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results
- Receives and follows instructions from your supervisor as outlined in our established policies and procedures
- Ensures all telephone orders are confirmed with a written purchase order
- Assists in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc.
- Develops methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment required
- Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the purchasing agent concerning procurement procedures as directed
- Ensures various departments are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes
- Delivers emergency supplies and equipment as directed
- Fills requisitions from departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Ensures that supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Organizes storage, issue, and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Checks invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc., with incoming merchandise
- Updates inventory as required when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment
- Fills requisitions, as approved, and files in accordance with established policies
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Associate's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum (1) one year of experience in the position, in a long-term care or other medical settings preferred.
- Preferred Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
