Senior Billing Associate – Full Load

Location: Ann Arbor, MI – Onsite corporate office environment

Employment Type: Full-Time 40 hrs.

Hours: Weekday Business Hours, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday

Job Summary

Avfuel Corporation provides the global aviation industry fuel and services through its network of branded dealers and international locations.

Avfuel is seeking a Senior Billing Associate.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Create customer specific invoices within internal systems; monitor and make changes for special and varied billing arrangements
• Independently and timely communicate with customers and Sales team to effectively assist and resolve issues
• Meet strict daily deadlines while ensuring accuracy and excellent customer experience
• Proactively communicate issues and concerns with manager and sales staff
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring billing errors and implement corrective actions
• Develop, maintain, and update process documentation to ensure procedures remain accurate and current
• Train and support new team members on departmental processes, systems, and responsibilities
• Other special projects and duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with a high level of accountability, ownership, and follow-through
• Strong critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing
• Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
• Experience with billing and payment systems preferred
• Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
  
  

Education And Experience

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 3 years of progressive billing, accounting, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Proven success resolving customer disputes and complex billing exceptions
• Background in high-volume transaction processing environments
• 3 years customer service experience
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
