What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Aveyo?
Job Summary
You knock doors. You start conversations. You book appointments for homeowners who want to stop overpaying their utility company. You get paid every time one of those appointments turns into a signed deal.
No cold-calling lists. No pretending to sell something people don't want. Illinois utility rates are climbing. Your job is to be the person who tells them.
What You'll Actually Do
- Canvass assigned neighborhoods and hold 30 real conversations per day
- Qualify homeowners on the basics: ownership, roof condition, and current utility spend
- Convey value and trust
- Set clean, confirmed appointments and hand them off to a specialist
- Learn the product well enough to answer real questions
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Willingness to work outdoors in Illinois weather (yes, all of it)
- Availability for afternoon/evening hours and Saturdays — that's when homeowners are home
- Thick skin and a short memory. You'll hear "no" 40 times before you hear the one that matters.
- Coachable. If you can take direct feedback and apply it the same day, you'll do well here.
Nice to have (but not required):
- Prior D2D, retail, restaurant, or any customer-facing experience
- Background in sales, athletics, or anything that taught you to keep score
Not required: a degree, solar experience, or a sales background. Our best setters have come from kitchens, warehouses, and college dropouts' bedrooms. We train the product. We can't train work ethic.
Why Aveyo
- Uncapped commission. Your income is a math problem. More conversations → more appointments → more deals → more money.
- Real training. Scripts, objection handling, ride-alongs, and daily field coaching — not a PDF and a "good luck."
- Warm market. Rising utility rates and Illinois Shines incentives mean homeowners are already looking for a way out. You're not creating demand — you're meeting it.
- A team that competes. Leaderboards, weekly goals, and people who'll push you to hit yours.
Compensation & Expectations
This is a commission-based role. New setters who follow the process and hit activity standards typically write their first deal within 1 week.
Activity standard: 30 conversations per day, 5 days per week. Hit that consistently and the results take care of themselves.
Pay: $55,868.57 - $107,282.57 per year
Work Location: In person
