As a Venues Technical Specialist at AVEX, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute the vision of our hospitality clients for live, hybrid, and virtual events, conferences, and meetings. Our scope encompasses large in-person conventions, onsite board room meetings, trade show and specialty events, and everything in between for a range of customers in academia, corporate and non-profits, as well as individuals looking for our creative and technical guidance. You will be working hand-in-hand with our hotel partner team to ensure the venue guests receive excellent customer service throughout their onsite experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the timely prep, setup, operation, removal, and de-prep of onsite Audio Visual equipment, either independently or with a team
- Ensure all set-ups are according to the client’s expectations and that all inventory is in good working order and rental condition
- When working as part of a team, manage crew of contractors for Audio Visual setup, rehearsal, event operation, and teardowns
- Greet guests and clients before the event and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment, if applicable
- Identify opportunities to enhance the client's event
- Provide continued communication with clients to ensure success of all events
- Follow through on all client requests to ensure satisfaction
- Work toward updating and improving technical skills in order to grow career
- Have ownership over equipment maintenance, storage and organization
- Assist with transportation, QC, and warehousing of equipment as necessary
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of Audio-Visual experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Working knowledge in using MS Office Suite
- Proven communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Safely lift up to 75 pounds of equipment
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
