Enterprise Account Executive – Cybersecurity (Indiana / Southern Illinois)

The Opportunity
Our client is a globally recognised leader in identity security and privileged access management - trusted by thousands of enterprise organisations worldwide to protect critical infrastructure and reduce risk from both internal and external threats.
As they continue to scale their enterprise sales organisation, they're looking for a high-performing, self-sufficient Enterprise Account Executive to build and own a greenfield commercial territory across Indiana and Southern Illinois - with Kentucky expected to be added in Year 2.
This is a rare chance to get in early on an expansion territory at a market-leading cybersecurity business, with the backing, tooling, and support structure to succeed.
The Role
You'll own a mix of existing and greenfield mid-market and enterprise commercial accounts, with a strong focus on net-new business (60% ). You'll run complex, consultative sales cycles independently - from initial prospecting through to close and renewal expansion.
Year 1 quota is approximately $1.2M (reduced from the standard $1.35M in recognition of the territory's expansion status), with a clear path to full quota attainment in Year 2 and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Own and develop a defined enterprise territory across Indiana and Southern Illinois, with Kentucky added in Year 2
- Build and execute a strategic territory plan focused on net-new pipeline generation and quota attainment
- Run the full sales lifecycle independently - prospecting, discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and close
- Develop and expand existing accounts through targeted upsell and cross-sell motions
- Partner with Solutions Engineers, SDRs, and channel partners to maximise territory coverage and deal velocity
- Maintain accurate whitespace analysis, pipeline data, and forecasting in Salesforce
- Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to C-level and technical stakeholders
- Lead RFP and proposal responses for strategic accounts
- Attend regional events and industry conferences to build network and generate pipeline
What You Bring
Essential:
- Must be located in Indianapolis or within a reasonable commutable distance
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of B2B sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding annual quota
- Strong cybersecurity background - experience selling cybersecurity software, enterprise SaaS, IT services, or related managed services (infrastructure-only profiles will not be considered)
- True hunter mentality - 60% of your experience should be focused on net-new business, running accounts independently (not overlay or team-assist roles)
- Ability to command a sales message and drive full sales cycles without reliance on overlay support
- Experience leveraging channel partners and resellers to extend territory reach
- Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel within the territory
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience selling PAM, identity security, or privileged access solutions
- Completion of formal sales methodology training (Sandler, SPIN, DISC, TAS, or Miller Heiman)
- Strategic account management experience at enterprise level
