What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Avery Partners?
Avery Partners is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a very busy equipment manufacturing design company in Atlanta, GA. This position would be full time in office Mon- Fri 8-5ish. There is some travel involved as well(about 20%).
Job Duties will include:
-Design primary and secondary power distribution for food and beverage production facilities. This includes medium voltage service entrances, switchgear, substations, transformers, and plant-wide distribution
-Perform electrical load studies for new lines, plant expansions, and brownfield retrofits
-Evaluate the true electrical cost of competing OEM equipment options
-Coordinate power design with process, mechanical, controls, and civil disciplines from concept through commissioning
Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license strongly preferred
-7 years of experience in industrial power distribution design
-Experience in food and beverage plant experience preferred
-Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, 70E, and utility interconnection requirements
-Must be proficient in professional communication on site and through written reports
-Must be willing to travel to client sites every week
