Avery County Electric is currently interviewing for Electrician Apprentices. We are a small company located in the mountains of North Carolina near Boone. Started in 1975 we are the premier Electrical Contractor for the High Country. We have grown our client base through word of mouth by always executing high quality work and honing our craft every day. We never cut corners or use inferior materials. Job Responsibilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to trace and document circuits accurately or be willing to learn
- Perform general electrical maintenance under the supervision of a superior
- Work as a team member to complete set tasks.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations as well as observe proper safety procedures.
- Knowledge of circuit architecture and planning for residential and commercial applications or willingness to learn
- Manage time appropriately to complete jobs quickly and on time.
- Ability to work in harsh environments
- Perform quality testing and inspections
- Ability to keep track of labor and materials used and submit documentation to superior daily
- Ability to work under a supervisor and take direction
Job Requirements
- Willingness to learn every day on the job about new electrical concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- Relevant experience working as an electrician
- High school diploma or trade school
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Bonus if experience with Generac generators

Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation is based on experience after a 60 day probation period.
- Weekly pay check
- Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with overtime available every week
- Guaranteed 40 hours every week
- 1 Week paid holidays
After 1 year-
- Matching 401k
- 50/50 paid Health Insurance
- 1 week paid time off every year, 2 weeks at 5 years

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
