Tool Maker Machinist – Goshen, IN (1st Shift, Direct Placement)
Job Description:
Metal fabrication & assembly facility with approximately 560 employees. The plant specializes in the production of chassis components for vehicles and is part of a global leadership brand in this space.
The company is currently looking for a Tool Maker Machinist who has experience with CNC and manual machining in a tool & die environment. They’re looking to add a team member to help with building more tooling in-house.
Available Shifts – 1 Opening:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
- Regular opportunities for overtime
Starting Rate:
- $25/hr. - $40/hr., based on experience and quality machining skill level
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite, Direct Placement
Primary Responsibilities:
- More machinist-focused (not traditional tool & die)
- Primary work includes creating fixtures, jigs, and general tooling
- Manual machining on mills and lathes, requires print reading – Bridgeport lathes and mills
- Run CNC machines and handle basic setup (chucks, tooling)
- Understand and use G & M code for edits
Qualifications:
- 5 years of machining experience and focus on quality parts
- Manual and CNC hands-on machining experience
- Needs tool & die experience with a focus on machining
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Hurco CNC mills or Bridgeport manual lathes and mills is preferred
