We are looking for a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a company dump truck delivering asphalt, hauling millings, and other materials for various customers in the Middle TN area. This position requires the driver to be on time daily and to be committed to providing an excellent level of service as our work is dependent upon keeping the customer satisfied. Hours will vary as most of the work we do will be done during the day however flexibility is a must as sometimes we secure night contracts with asphalt and milling companies.
Responsibilities and requirements as per our insurance provider:
- Drive a truck in a safe and responsible manner.
- Clean driving record with no serious or disqualifying traffic offenses within the last 3 years. This includes excessive speeding, reckless driving, hands free violations, hit and run, improper or erratic lane changes. No DUI in the past 5 years.
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL class B or A driver's license and medical card.
- Inspect truck before and after trips and submit reports on mechanical issues or accidents.
- 2 years relative experience of operations of dump truck
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Must be 23 years of age or older.
- Driver must be able to operate a manual or an automatic truck. Experience with Volvo I-shift is a plus.
