Job Summary
- Responsible to perform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the campus.
- Responsible for the operation, testing and inspection of all boilers in the facility complex.
- Will report back to duty when a major electrical or boiler problem occurs.
- Works under general supervision with work subject to check by the Director and/or Supervisor. Has a thorough, working knowledge of the principles and procedures of the work involved.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- This position requires you to be 18 years of age or older.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Journeyman Electrician's Licenses from the State of South Dakota are required.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
- 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
- 1 in 9 weekend rotation
- 1 in 9 holiday
- Occasional call time
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $24.75 - $37.00 per hour
