About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to work primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays. This role involves coordinating and delivering occupational therapy services to patients, focusing on conditions and health diagnosis. You will implement specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from various sources, including patient records, interviews, observations, and team members.
- Use selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health and achieve treatment goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients using various functional settings and strategies.
- Plan therapy within the patient's individual physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities, coordinated with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family, physician, and other disciplinary team members regarding patient status, progress, and needs.
- Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members throughout the patient's intervention program.
Requirements
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire.
- 1-3 years clinical patient care experience (preferred).
