What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician position at Avera Health?
At Avera Marshall Hospital, we have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioral Health Technician. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with nurses, counselors, and patients to provide direct care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including vital signs and collection of specimens
- Maintain accurate records and document patient information
- Participate in inter-disciplinary treatment team meetings and implement suicide precautions as needed
- Assess changes in patient behavior and notify RN or Counselor
Requirements:
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to work night shift and rotating weekends
