Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- The Radiation Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes.
- The oncology nurse will also act as the patient's advocate and educator.
Requirements:
- Active IA RN license
- 1 year RN experience preferred
- Oncology Certification is preferred
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Team orientated approach and adaptable to change/flexible
- BLS is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Complete 12 oncology-specific continuing education hours per year for department accreditation requirements
Schedule:
- Part-time benefit eligible
- 40 hours/pp
- 2-3 days per week
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the hospital
