What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master's Level Therapist-Substance Use Treatment position at Avenues Recovery?

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol treatment centers with 18 locations across 8 states. We provide evidence-based, individualized care across the full continuum of services, including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient treatment.

We are currently hiring Mental Health Therapists/Substance Abuse Counselors for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Aurora, CO.
What You'll Do:
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Facilitate individual, group, family, and couples therapy
- Manage clinical services and aftercare planning for assigned caseload
- Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crisis situations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of progress, risks, and interventions
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director, multidisciplinary treatment team, and
families - Model recovery-centered values including ethics, accountability, dignity, and
respect
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field
- Active Colorado licensure or certification (LAC, LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, CAS, CAC III,
ADDC, etc.) - Strong clinical judgment, observation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and strict confidentiality
- Experience in substance use disorder, mental health, or co-occurring disorders
preferred
